I have made a new book in collaboration with Jack Piers Scott.
HAVE A THINK
SEE WHAT YOU THINK
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK
by William Edmonds
A combination of poetry, prose and drawings, presented in a large folio style format. With hand drawn covers, loose pages, colourful inserts and bound only by an elastic strap, this is a book to be explored and played with, to be arranged and rearranged! Uncover mixed up narratives, use pages as posters, or simply lay the book flat and read it like a newspaper. With inspiration from the likes of Richard Brautigan, Ivor Cutler and Apichatpong Weerasethakul this is a book with a whole heap of soft line and free flowing verse chasing good vibes and (surreal) day dreams!
Available now through Corporeal in a limited edition of 100.
The New Abstract show came down last week. Here are some photos of the work I made for it. A large wall piece ‘Primitive Apparatus/Awesome Technologies’ and various ceramics, including my first teapot. I was stoked on that. It was a good show, Big tanks to Saskia.
Over at Somewow I’m having a sell off of rejects and abnormals. If you fancy a cup for half price (small chip or odd blobs) or super cheap (silly hair) then have a look: http://williamedmonds.bigcartel.com/
A while ago Jay and I got together to make some drawings. As something of a novelty we drew on the same pieces of paper, one in one colour, the other another. Jessica and Espen who run NSEWpress released them as a book. Thanks for that guys. We Pretty much sold out of our handful at ELCAF so you can get them at their website http://www.nsewpress.com/editions/cause.htm
Cause is a celebration of small moments spent together, a brief conversation between friends. Seeing someone you have not seen for a while is cause for a celebration, making a book of images together just ‘cause. One line causes another, one mark causes the other.
I did this drawing for the third issue of the great Limner Journal a little while ago but Studio Operative need some financial assistance to get it finished off. You can much pre order the thing but there are a lot of other lovely things. It’s pretty much just like buying stuff from people who make really nice things. So if you want to see this drawing in real life (and the otehr 5 pages that go with it), amongst some other great work, help them out, here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/studiooperative/limner-a-journal-of-illustration-issue-3
